Altene anti-corrosion coatings can be applied either with “ in –line” method or with “in- plant” method.

“In plant” application is necessary, when pipes pass trough impervious areas that do not allow use wrapping machines “ in line” and when due to harsh climatic conditions, the application is not possible.

According to “in plant” applications, COATEC produces a range of specially designed tapes. The coating thus obtained, consisting of a multi-layer system, cold applied, allows high production rates, constant quality and absolute reproducibility.

The protection is uniform, adaptable for any diameter and to any type of ground.
The laboratory technological tests and the applications carried out on different pipes show the high passive protective capacity and the excellent resistance to impacts and abrasion of the coatings applied using the ALTENE “in plant” method.
